'A closed system for separating blood components. Blood collected from donor in to 450 ml bag containing anticoagulant. Blood is separated in to plasma and RBC components by standing gravity (store in fridge upright with transfer tube at bottom as RBC heavier and sink to the bottom). After separation the white plastic stopper is snapped to open the transfer channel to allow the RBC to drain in to the transfer bag. After transfer the tube is cut and sealed.. Can freeze the plasma portion for later use. Concentrated RBC''s can be delivered to anaemic patient in small volumes.'''''
