PGA is a synthetic, absorbable braided suture made from polyglycolic acid, designed for soft tissue approximation and ligation. It offers excellent knot security and smooth texture, with 70% tensile strength at 14 days and full absorption within 60-90 days.
PGA is an absorbable, synthetic, braided suture of polyglycolic acid coated with polycaprolactone and calcium sterate. It is inert, non-pyrogenic and non-antigenic. PGA suture is extremely soft and smooth, and has high knot security. PGA has 70% tensile strength at 14 days, 50% after 21 days, and is completely absorbed at 60-90 days. Use for soft tissue approximation and ligation. Suture is violet colour. Supplied Each, or pack of 12 peel-pack sutures.
